What is considered "bent" on an axle?
Had a wheel come off (not quite completely the brake rotor stayed inside the rim) on my camaro today while driving about 30-40. Anyway, I've got the stuff all torn down to get the new studs installed when they arrive, and I just wanted to check with you guys to see if the axle is bent. I threw a dial indicator on the face of the axle hub, and the runout was about .005 total.
I was wondering if that's within acceptable ranges, or if I'm gonna need to replace it? I have no idea how true they are from the factory so I figured I'd ask you all.

Remeasured with a more sturdy fixture for the dial indicator, and it's consistently .0015 now. I also cleaned the face of the hub with some steel wool as there was dirt throwing my readings off.
Let this be a lesson to anyone reading, when measuring run out always make sure your part is clean, and that you are accounting for unwanted movement!
