06 GTO yoke suppose to have this lip on it?

06 GTO yoke suppose to have this lip on it? I have an 06 GTO M6. I took the driveshaft and yoke off to replace the pinion seal. My question is it suppose to have this "machined" looking lip on it?

i dont remember anything like that when i swapped my diff over , my 04 uses the 05-06 , and the pumpkin i got with 3.73's was from a 04 , so i had to swap that piece over
