I picked up a used rear that was from a 72 chevelle,so i was told.It's a 12 bolt the axle tube code is kdc 133 2.everything matched up ok but the upper ears on the rear seem closer.I looked online and kdc is for a 72 but I'm hoping it's not a G body rear 721/2 ?.it's going into a 70 elco frame.thanks

I found the code 3969278nf( chevelle) on the housing.kd is the 72 code c made in buffalo 133 day july 15.the frame is a 71 el camino.why don't the ears match up with with the frame.they seem closer together on the rear i managed to put it together but the bolts going threw the bushings are on really bad angles.It's like i need an offset on the arms.I can't run this way.no one else had this problem?.
