factory torsen diff to Detroit trutrac swap tomorrow night Well a week ago friday night, I went out to play with a buddies 08 GT500. We were on out way to dinner, and going through a rotary, and my rear end popped hard twice. I straightened out and it was fine. from that point on when making any left turn and not coasting, it would pop. Well I got it home, and tore it down.
I found a few small pieces in the oil, and it turned out to be a tooth from one of the left side worm gears in the diff.
I know its a bandaid, and that i really need a moser 9", but I cant afford it now.
Last night i ordered a detroit trutrac from summit. it was $413 shipped and i should have it tomorrow.
I know the 7.5 is a turd, and ive run 600+ rwhp through trutrac's on several different cars.
hopefully it will last me the summer!
