Default Initial research into LSD swap

I own a V6 Camaro. I want to swap the differential out for a LSD. I'm not getting a whole lot of information from the service manual, and the swap information I found here was for the classics to get LSDs.

What all would I need to swap to LSD? I have the 10-bolt. Are LSDs only compatible with 12-bolt rears?

I saw that the RPO I'm looking for in the junkyard is G80. How bulletproof are these things? Am I better off going new or are the LSDs resilient enough to be used from a trashed car?

What other information am I not asking for? What else should I know about? Other than the whole "Dude, you SO need to swap to a SBC, brah. That six is so not gettin it, brah"?
