Default Opinion on gears with nitrous

Ok so I'm a h/c/I car that's making 450rwhp and 400 ft lbs . My question is what's everyone's thoughts on 4.10 or 3.90s on a m6 I'm planning on a n2o set up next yr. would any of you go with the 3.90 to help stretch each gear out or am I thinking of this wrong? I just don't want to spray and blow through the gear so quick. I know nitrous likes to be lugged a little.

IF you don't want to blow through the gears fast, go with 3.55 or 3.73. Longer legs, more torque from the nitrous, and less shifting if its a stick car, so less chance of a nitrous backfire and all your hard work going boom.

You would barely notice the difference between the 2. You notice a difference between 3.73 and 4.10.

Throw in whatever is cheapest if that is the ratio you want. Personally, I would go with a 3.55 or 3.73 as stated above.

Seems to me that a 370 range gear set is the best for nitrous. You need to figure out what size tire you will be running to ensure you can make it through the 1/4 within your rpm band while still in 4th. I run 375s and have been very happy with them.

I'm running stock size tire, makes peak power at 6600 and the rev limiter is at 6800. I'm getting a midwest 9" so the ratio is all the same price.

3.73's or 3.55's

4.10 would be too steep of a gear and you would hit the limiter before you know it..

No way you'll be able to spray any kind of a shot on 26s with 410s or 390s. I figure trap speed will be somewhere around mid 130. I would step up to a 28" tire for the track and run 3.90s. If your spraying out of the hole the more tire the better. That'll give you a decent gear in street mode to but leave you enough room to trap high.

nos makes peak hp/tq come in sooner .the bigger the tire the better .also the taller tire will grow more ,acting like another gear .
