Default Axle Removal GM 7.5 10 Bolt

So I am putting fresh bearings and shims in my 10 bolt since it has 4.11's I wanna make sure it is all snug and in the right position. I am having trouble getting the driver side axle out. I got the passenger side c clip out but the driver side axle just won't go in far enough for the c clip to fall off. Any suggestions?

Just curious, how the hell do I remove the pinion nut if I already pulled the axles and driveshaft? I don't have access to an air tank or impact wrench. Car is on jack stands. Any advice would be awesome. Thanks.

You will need to hold the yoke in place... i made a template of the yoke face with 3/8 plate cut a 1-1/8" hole to access the nut and drilled 4 holes for the ujoint strap bolts then welded a 3' section of pipe to it so it could be held or wedged. At this point you get your 21mm socket and big ratchet out and get to work.

I used some bar stock I had laying around, drilled two holes in it to pick up a couple of the U-bolt holes. Ratech makes this nice yoke holder tool.
