Default New gears and taller tires?

I bought a new rearend with 3.73s and 28" tall tires. I currently have 3.42s with a 26" tall tire. What should I expect, faster, slower or the same acceleration?

The gearing with the 3.73s and 28s will be almost identical, with an effective gear ratio of 3.46 compared with the 26s and 3.42s..

The taller tires will put more rubber on the (o/O) ground, and the taller sidewall generally allows the tire to give a little more which helps to prevent shocking the surface of the tire. Bob

Thanks guys. I managed to fit these 15 x12 prostars with the 28" tall 325 with a lot of BFH and some relefe cuts. Good to know the gearing will be around the same. I don't need all this wheel/tire but it's what got a deal on so we will see how good they hook.

I used to run a 275 28" tire and it hooked way better than a 315 26", it was on a 15" wheel though.
