Default Rear end thump, any ideas what could be causing it?

Hey guys basically it sounds like I have a flat tire from the rear end. I dont hear the noise so much when I have the clutch engaged and power to wheels, as I do when I disengage the drive train and let the car glide. I went over to my passenger side rear wheel and grabbed it at the 6 and 12 oclock positions and it had a significant amount of play and even made a clunk. So would this mean my wheel bearing is bad?

Thanks in advance

You may have more serious problems than just a bad wheel bearing. I'd have the rear torn down and inspected. Bob
