ABS Inop light and Trac light
Since I installed the moser m9 I have had the abs light come on and off. I had an abs scanner scan and it read the code C0056 ABS Relay Coil Circuit Shorted to Voltage. I erased it and it of course came back on and then went off. Today I was able to drive the car and as I was recommended I drove the car to about 30mph then hit the brakes and the abs is working from what I can tell the brakes did not lock.
I lifted the car up checked the harness that plugs into the abs sensor on the pumpkin and it did not have any corrosion. I then took the abs sensor out and I could immediately see that the sensor had metal debris/shavings. I cleaned it off and then took the car out again for a drive. I noticed that when driving normal the trac light or abs inop light did not come on. Before it would come on after 5 minutes of driving. But when I gunned it to get on the highway the trac light went on and then the abs inop light came on. I pulled over at the next exit and scanned the abs and the same code. I erased it and drove back home. When I got on the highway again and gunned it same out come of course. Once off the highway I erased the code again. I drove normal conditions home and the light never came on.
It appears that the abs sensor is not reading when slam the pedal and the high rpms. I am thinking maybe the abs sensor that came with the moser m9 might be bad or maybe some more debris/metal shavings have got all over it again. Should I just change the rear end oil to get all the debris out. The rear end is not vibrating or making any kind of noise to indicate it is damaged. It runs real good.
Any ideas, experiences with this?Help!!!!

From your description there are a couple of possibilities that have crossed my mind.
The first, as we both know, the ABS sensor utilizes the reluctor ring on the ring gear
to create digital wave form, if the debris is obstructing the sensors ability to produce a waveform then the ABS light is going to come on of course (can't depict relevant position of the ring gear).
When you stab the throttle it seems as if the ABS sensor is losing it's positioning of the
reluctor ring. At Maserati we call this a lazy sensor.lol. I'm not going to assume you have
an oscilloscope so watching the sensor isn't going to happen for us. Check the sensor again for heavy debris. Clean it off and drive it normal. Record whether the light comes on when driving it normally. If it doesn't, clean it off again and hen I would go out and drive it again and accelerate rapidly. Record what RPM and MPH the light comes on (if it does.) Let's eliminate the possibility of debris. Then we'll go from there.

Update since yesterday..
So today I checked the sensor and no debris or metal shavings on it after I drove it. Is there a way to test this sensor? From the pics today I can conclude I will not have to change the oil since it was not covered in debris today after I drove it. It seems the abs light comes on after the trac light comes on when I floor it over 4k Rpms.

Bob at brute speed and moser trying to help me resolve this freaking abs inop light. Driving me crazy. Does anyone know where the abs coil circuit relay is on this car. Hope we find a solution.

The way to check it requires the car to be lifted completely and live data would have to be available, an oscilloscope would have to be used to watch it.. Best way to do it. I think the sensor is losing its position as per the reluctor ring over a certain rpm range. Its reading at low rpm but fails to produce a reading at higher rpms. I would of thought Moser would provide an abs sensor. Count the teeth on the stock reluctor and see if it has the same amount of teeth as the Moser.

IS THIS THE SAME SENSOR THAT WAS SHIPPED WITH THE MOSER YALL RECEIVED? I JUST GOOGLED THE PART NUMBER ON THE ABOVE PICTURE AND THIS CAME UP. THE GOLD RING IS JUST BACKWARDS FROM THE ONE I GOT.

So it was working fine with the 10 bolt and went haywire after the rear end install? Is that correct? I hope your sensor fixes it though I do not think it will.

Well found this off of place that rebuilds abs modules just in case anyone else is having abs inop/low trac trouble...
"Is your vehicle having ABS problems? We can offer you a solution!!!

•WHEEL SPEED SENSOR CODES

•CODE... C0267 (ABS PUMP RUNNING CONSTANTLY)
•CODE... C0268 (SHORTED OR OPEN ABS PUMP CIRCUIT)"

I just started getting the same C0056 code though on a 3 channel setup. Any luck getting yours to work? Looks like Moser uses a 4 channel sensor on the 3 channel system. Probably not your issue but I find it interesting that they modified their design in the way.
