Default stock rearend limit?

I am getting ready to do a bolt on Fbody ls1 should make 330-345rwhp give or take and running a 4000 circle d triple disk converter. Will the stock axles hold for a few passes?

50-50 chance: either it will or it won't. Some hold up forever, some break on the street with stock power. A4's are easier on the rear end than M6's though. I wouldn't be too worried especially if you are running street tires.

I make around 550 rwhp with 4.10's and a 6-speed with drag radials, and so far so good lol

On most of the hits I made with mine for a little over a year I was at 700+ and a hand full of 800-900hp hits. It got beat on every time I drove it. It's still together after a 1.6 and a 1.48 60', but it sure does let you know it's back there when you're driving now!

It really can be a crap shoot, a good friend of mine has a Procharged Firebird making just over 600 wheel, and has made quite a few passes in the last 10 years only replacing bearings a few times. I have broken mine once and my other buddy's once. The only problem you might have is if that 4000 stall hits the tires hard enough and it dead hooks, otherwise you should be able to make a few passes anyway. Either way the poor 10 bolt will be making plenty of gear whine on the way home.

People will spend thousands on HP but don't have the money to put into a good rear end. It's a waste.

Axles might, diff won't hold up very long, if at all...

I grenaded two of them, a zexel and an Eaton with my v6, and I go to the track maybe 3-4 times a year and make maybe 2-3 passes each time I go.

I only had a 3200 stall converter to
