LSD diff problem... please help :(
The steepest you can go with a gearset pulled from a vehicle would be 3.08.
2.41,2.73,and 3.08 are for 2 series carriers. What you would find in the vehicles would be GM 3.23,3.42,3.73,4.10 and those are for 3 series carriers.
The Richmond site lists those as purchaseable for a 2 series carrier, but none of them came in a factory vehicle. In order to use one of those factory GM 3.23,3.42,3.73,4.10 GM factory gearsets, you would have to change to a 3 series carrier.
Most of those vehicles listed could/would have a 3 series carrier but would have 26 splines, not the 28 spline that you need.
this Auburn site should help you determine which year 7.5"/7.625" carriers have the 28 splines(side gear splines).

But,even before/beyond that,an aftermarket torque convertor in the range of 3500/3600(OEM factory is 1800) is,typically, first before gears. Then the 2.73s' are changed to 3.42s' or 3.73s'. 3.73s' with a Yank SS3600 or CircleD seems to be the preferred combination.
