Can I put this differential in a v6 car? 01 firebird, V6 M5.
Will this differential work in my car?

3.8 v6's where typically 3.08's unless you got the Y87 W68 packages that included the 3.42 rear.
check your door RPO list
GU4 is the 3.08
GU5 is the 3.23
GU6 is the 3.42
and
G80 is the limited slip dif. which I want to say was only seen on the 3.42's from the factory but I'm not certain on that one.

3.8 v6s were typically 3.08s unless you got the Y87 W68 packages that included the 3.42 rear.
