Default Dana 60 full floater??

Can anyone please tell me if a Dana 60 full float or semi float would be better for drag racing? I can get my hands on a d60 full floater but not sure if it would work. Going into a 91 Silverado 5.3 turbo with t56.

If not is there a way to convert it from full to semi float? Or are the housings the same and all I need to do is swap out posi axles and gears and be good??

What is the floater out of? Custom deal or OEM axle? Probably a 3/4 ton or bigger truck. If your not worried about the size and weight, I would go with the floater.

No sure but it's big though out of a older vehicle. 65" wms to wms. I actually need it that wide since it's going in a Silverado. How much do the weigh though roughly??

Alot. Probably pushing 400 lbs complete. If you want to go fast it's probably not your best option.
