Default 2.73 gear for Strange 12 bolt.......can't find it anywhere....does it exist..?

Trying to find a 2.73 gear set....can't find it.

Do they make a kit for my Strange 12 bolt rear-end?

Is 3.08 the lowest available..?

Damn......thats not good.

3.08 is the highest gear Strange offers.

I'm trying to make 180mph in "D" with a 4L80E. No shifting into "OD" during the run. 7000rpm.
"D" gear in the 4L80E is 1:1

Why not go into OD? I mean if the trans can handle it then a steeper rear gear with the OD could equal out to exactly what you need.

All of the "reputable" 4L80E builders have said if you let the 4L80E shift into OD under WOT....thats what kills them in a hurry.

Yes, OD with 3.23 rear gears can easily get me to 180mph, but I'll be killing the tranny behind 1,300 RWHP with that OD shift......I'll probably need to rebuild it every couple months.

Does a Ford 9" have 2.73 gears available...?

LOL.....never thought of that. My tire is 25.5". What tire/size could I use thats larger for 180mph runs.......BUT will still allow me to get decent traction?

Speed calculator says I need a 30" tire to make it to 188mph with 3.08 rear gears.
