rear end girdle worth it?
Getting ready to rebuild my stock 190k mile rear end and slap some 3.90 Motive performance gears in it. I found this rear end girdle and reading about it sounds like it's a good investment for those cheap like me that still want a "strong 10-bolt" (if there is such a thing). I'm just looking to strengthen the 10 bolt rear end as much as possible.

That definitely sounds like a good investment then. 10's and 200 passes with a 3.90 and the girdle sounds like a winner. That's a lot faster than me and a lot more trips to the strip than me also. I mainly cut up with it a little around here and have only been to the drag strip once. Is your's an auto or 6 speed?

I have one installed on Sara (2001 Z28) and she likes it.
Not only will it vent the heat at a quicker rate than the stock cover, but it holds more fluid.
The 2 screws (with plastic plate on end) help keep the main cap bearings from "floating" under hard acceleration.
While you are in there, you might consider "studding" the main caps opposed to the stock weak bolts that are used.
