9 inch axle/stock 4th Gen brake questions...
I had a 9 inch rear built for a project. I ordered it with the ends for stock LS camaro brakes and I have the brakes off a 2000 model base Camaro. I have Moser 35 spline axles with the sealed bearings with the o ring on it for the swap. What I don't have on a holiday weekend are a packing slip or any assembly directions...
I have a solid ring that looks like a spacer that looks like it may go on the axle, then the f body backing plate, then the sealed bearing, and no seal. Can anyone confirm this? I did a test fit of the backing plate and the axle and the axle flange will hit the e brake adjuster, which is why I am assuming the spacer goes before the bearing to push it out.
Anyone with a 9 inch and stock brakes chime in and I would appreciate it.

Now from the sounds of it yours doesn't have the dust cover type thing, neither does mine. But it doesn't change the order.
My axle didn't have the spacer because the axles were built for use with stranges drag brakes, but yours WILL require the spacer before the bearing as far as I know.
And for anyone else who may stumble upon this in the future. Mine works great with the stock ls1 brakes even though strange told me that I'd need new axles because of the drag brake spacing

I see I am missing a part for the brakes. I have no ABS ring. That may be why the axle hits the e brake adjuster as it would space it out some. (I have never had a 4th Gen, the brakes were local take offs, I am putting front and rear on my 1967 Chevelle, so I have no way of knowing how it was originally assembled on a stock Camaro) Also, looking at the axle pic above, It looks like the spacer I have is behind the bearing.
Thanks for the input!

The abs ring does not effect the bearing or the brakes. It goes on a shoulder of the axle that the bearings dont ride on. Its optional whether it's there, and actually mine has now been removed.
