Quixk performance 9" & BMR Torque arm aren't working
Hey everyone,
So got most of the issues squared away with my rear and overall it went together nice.
I have a Bmr tunnel mount adjustable torque arm and the (bmr) bracket that bolts to the QP mount and the TA hit S my floor pan very bad. Can't even let the car off the jack stands.
Prior to moving the TA inward and bolting it to the inside of the bracket (closer to the driveshaft), the arm would hit the entire tunnel. So I moved it inward to see where else it was going to hit.
Adjustable panhard is set just about perfect, as close as I can get it with axle hanging.
I'm not cutting my floor, or grinding/welding anymore to get this damn rear axle in. I just want to go beat on my car!
So what are my options?
You can see in one picture it would grind on the seat belt bolt when moved up just a tad.

Is the rear centered in the chassis from left to right? Bob

We just had a vehicle in the shop with the same issue to be fixed, the fix was cutting out the floor to make room. All stamped nine inches will make contact with the floor to some extent.
We have had multiple customers purchase our 2 piece race arm to eliminate this issue. All though we have never done it in house no one has said it hasn't worked for them.

Bob, yes the rear is centered. It has to be close , can't put any weight on the rear due to that hitting the floor to verify but with the axle hanging it seems damn near perfect.
I can't cut this floor, the car is too nice. I'll put the ten bolt back in before I do that.

Talked to a local chassis/hot rod fab shop that will eliminate the BMR bracket that sticks out too far to the drivers side, and make the torque arm bolt directly to the quick performance mount off the axle. That will give me all kinds of room and more than likely fit better than the 10 bolt.
Off topic but here are a few photos of what I did for the sway bar brackets and parking brake brackets. (Welds looked great before spray paint ???) Also had my bump stops fall apart so I put poly ones on there and used the original spacer, just hacked off the aluminum lip.

Something is way off. I have many customers running this combination. Some hammering is typical, but usually they end up having more clearance than usual 9" setups due to the design of the Quick bracket. Double check the centering of your rear. Measure with a plumb bob from each quarter panel in to the hubs of the axles. The rear end MUST BE AT RIDE HEIGHT when checking this. This seems very far off from what I normally see with everything in place. Here are some pictures for reference:

I cut my set of outer holes off on my TA mount then massaged the tunnel some with a BFH. It doesn’t hit now. BTW get rid of that junk *** QP torque arm mount and get one from currie, midwest chassis, or Brute Speed and have someone weld it onto your rear
