Default Need Help buying the right parts for my 9".. . HALP

Okay guys.. Blew the 10 bolt UP last night from a 60 roll while tuning the car lol OOPS... My tuner had a Midwest Chassis 9" Housing setup for an Fbody, so I picked it up! I'm ordering the center Section and Axles from Quick Performance.

What Length do I need to put on the Form below.

Drivers side "c" and Pass side "c". Its a stock length Housing.

Heres a Video of the rearend. And me talking lol

I'm going with this center, 3.89 gears. etc.. Pic Below:

Im also ordering the mount so I can use my UMI Torque arm on it.

Thanks for the help!

get a better picture of the torque arm mount on the center section and post it. A lot of companies use different styles which should help narrow down possibilities.

Here you can find a description for what they mean by "C" dimension. Its basically the length of the axle. One side is longer than the other but I don't remember off the top of my head. Who ever you are going through to purchase, I'd give them a call as they'll be able to get you stock lengths. S&W doesn't seem to sell the centers or axles so I'd probably go through Bob at brutespeed or Midwest if they sell just center and axle packages.

They actually do sell all of the parts for these rears. I've never heard of them and of course would recommend working with one of the great sponsors here as they help us out for free all of the time answering questions and sharing knowledge. Having said that maybe the company can help shed some light on what you've got there. I'm a little concerned that this thing was just laying around and you were told it was made by a reputable sponsor when in fact it was made by somebody else.

And from snooping around their website you MAY have to run THEIR torque arm. You need to make some phone calls.

The correct way to get proper axle lengths is to put the center section in and measure for them. There is no short cuts to assembling a rear end and no one can tell you what lengths to get.

if you are going boost i wouldnt recommend going such a high gear ratio but thats personal opinion. NO2 and NA sure go higher gear ratios, but boost usually you want to stay lower as to avoid nonsense. Or so im told then again person who told me keeps breaking his car. though in his defense he has yet to break his extremely expensive rear end/any other suspension part from midwest chassis. Might go for a ride in his car to see if i want the viking coilover/shock set from them also. Thats just my 2cents though depends on your build though i guess.

I'm currently running 3.55s in a turbo car and it's just so not necessary. I would have went closer to 3:1 if I ever did it again.

You will be perfect with the 3.89's for your setup.

Add a supercharger you are still good for your set up, although I here 3.89's are the highest S/C guys like to go with 6 speeds, can always run taller rear tire.

Turbos 3.00, 3.25's
