I understand it needs a weight, I guess was expecting it to be welded on instead of drilling a hole and riveting it. I’ve already put the shaft through some torture and doesn’t seem to be a performance issue. They are a great driveshaft and very reasonable price wise.

I think both mine have been weight free. Just speaking in general, would the heating of a weld cause more of a fatigue spot then a hole and rivet? No clue but something to consider.
