Default 8.8 DIY build with dual calipers

Figured I would share some of my build with you guys outside of my build thread, where it will be better suited.

this is in an 85 iroc, but it all directly applies to 4th gens.

bought an 8.8 out of a 03' ish Lincoln town car or crown Vic, WMS to WMS is 66" iirc, it was within 1/2" of my 4th gen rear.

Toom the guts out of it in the local yard, and swapped in a 3:73 track lok from a 2000 Ford Explorer. Also robbed twos sets of brakes off of explorers for the project. 31 spline axles

cut all the bracketry off the 8.8 and cleaned the tubes up.

cut all the 3rd gen brackets off my ten bolt, and transferred them to my new 8.8. Hiltsy TQ arm mount of course. Bought a decent cover since the 8.8 stock ones are junk.

took two sets off backing plates, cut them in half and swapped one set to each sidebar and welded it up, powdercoated it and I'm ready to go.

brief I know, any questions ask or pm me.

turbo ls1 car, have about $300 total into the 8.8 swap.
