Default 2001 Trans Am Axle Removal

I am in the process of installing the Moser 9in in my car and am needing to remove the axles to use the backing plates and hardware. The factory 7.5 has been previously worked on because it has 4.10 gears installed. The reared has a different looking king pin and when we remove the 8mm bolt and try to slide it out so we can push the axles in to remove the C-clips it hits the ring gear and wont come out. Never really have seen a set up like this but seems like it should slide out. Any help would be appreciated.

With 4.10s that paddle should have been filed down to clear. It's gonna be a tight fit but you'll have to pry it out. I always filed them enough where they slid in and out easily. Without filing there is no hope of reinstalling it when doing a 4.10 gear swap.
