I am going to move up to 390 gears and have them REM along with ceramic bearings. I have heard in the past the orange box Motives are noisy. Is this true? My blue box are quiet and not let me down in last 7 years despite 1.5 sixty foots etc..I figure since the orange box ones are suppose to be stronger might as well go that route

Both sets Ive had, had some noise but not bad. All sets of blue boxes Ive done have been dead silent. I still run them in the car anyway cause I dont care about the noise, but my yukon got blue box.

Everyone I mention it to says it's a freak of nature, but my orange box 3.73's are silent. My uncle set them up when he was working at a Jeep dealership. Mine is a street only car, but I haven't exactly been nice to them over the years.

Orange box 4.30's in my 9in. Its the quietest gear I've had since the stock 3.42's in the 10 bolt. Well I should say the blue box 4.10's in the 10 bolt were initially a tad quieter, first WOT 1-2 after break in wrecked that though.
