Six weeks and two days after I placed my order, and paid in full, a truck dropped off a crate containing my beautiful Midwest Chassis Fabricated 9" today. This thing is a beast, and while it's certainly beautiful to look at, I absolutely cannot wait to get it in my car.
Here's a rundown of what I ended up getting:
MWC Fab 9 w/back brace, fill cap and long torque arm
Strange HD thru-bolt aluminum case
Strange S-Trac with 3.89 gears
35 spline axles
Powder coated black
Adjustable double heim joint LCA's
Tunnel formed driveshaft loop
3.5" aluminum drag driveshaft
Here are some photos, because I can't have a worthless thread

My first peak, wow is this thing beefy!
Up close with that awesome aluminum case. Check out the 3 channel setup...that's interesting!

This is how it will sit for a week or so. I'll be out of town next week, so I won't be able to put it in just yet.
I'd like to thank all the guys at Midwest Chassis for the fantastic service...and obviously for the awesome rear end. It'll be nice to have the peace of mind that this will give me for a while. Bye bye 10 bolt!
You're probably itching to hit the track and try it out. Maybe winter will stop here soon lol. Milan opens today and Lapeer last weekend, but this weather is just retarded

For sure! I hope to have it installed within the next week, then it'll be another week or so before I get the driveshaft. One more week to get everything broken in, then it should be track ready by mid-May. There are a few other things I need to do. I got a line lock, need to replace the fuel filter and do an oil change.

Good deal. We usually like to hit the track in April due to nice cool weather and lack of crowds, but this weather is nuts lol. Otherwise we usually shoot for October. Beyond that the problem with Milan is it's always so damn busy like May-September. No such problems with Lapeer other than no track prep lol

Opening test n tune at northern Michigan dragway is supposed to be next Saturday, but we just got 10” snow. I hope it melts fast!
Beautiful car man! Your going to love that MWC rear. I have one with 3.89 and a spool and it has been a great investment. Drove it to the races for about two years now we trailer both cars. Make sure you get enough heat cycles on the gears before hammering on it. M6 car?

I'm going up to Traverse City for work Monday afternoon. Sucks that the north just got all that snow. Maybe we'll see spring someday soon!?

Thanks, I appreciate it! I still have another 250 miles of easy city driving to do to finish breaking in my clutch. I'll take it super easy on the gears for the first handful of heat cycles, bit even after that it'll be a bit before I give it hell. Yep, it's an M6.

I think the 4 channel cars have a tougher time with the ABS on aftermarket rears, but it can happen to both for sure. Fingers crossed that I don't see any issues, but I'll live with it even if I do.
Awesome man! Cant wait for your install pics. I just got done with all my 5 heat cycles last night. Drove the car to work this morning working on the 500 miles (only 475 more to go lol). Highest speed to work is 40 MPH but even with the stock drive shaft it is super smooth. Placed my driveshaft order this morning. MWC said I may receive the driveshaft by the end of this week, but most likely early next week.
