Default Moser 12 bolt to Moser M9...do I need a new driveshaft?

Looking to buy a driveshaft off another member. He has a Moser 12 bolt. I have a Moser M9. We both have the 4L80E. Will the driveshaft fit?

Likely not, 9 inch will require a slightly shorter shaft.

There is roughly 5/8 of an inch difference between the two the 12 bolt having the shorter shaft but there also could be some other factors that could play into the length of a driveshaft such as pinion yoke, control arms and possibly a few other factors.

I have found the 9 inch usually takes a one inch longer driveshaft than the 10 and 12 bolts do. Bob
