Can't decide on gears

I currently have a Midwest 3000 2.5 str converter with 2.73 gears. I want to maybe do a gear swap, but I can't decide if I should go to 3.42's or 3.73's. The car is a daily driver, and pulls 1.8-1.9 60' times. Right now when I bring the car up on the converter and launch, the car bogs pretty bad, there's definately not enough gear to keep it in the sweet spot. I'm leaning towards 3.42's because it is driven every day. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.

im going with 3.42's for the drivability too. i blew my trans and got a built one and a PYE3600 but i blew my rear before i even got to romp on it. the posi was locked up and it finaly went. anyway, unless you have tons of traction, gears usually dont show much gain if you already have a converter. i would(and am)stick(ing) with the hwy gears and if i ever need to slip higher into the powerband ill go with a bigger converter.

3.42s unless you getting pretty hard core at the track.

If you can take the looseness, another 400 - 600 rpm of stall is all you need.
