It could be either a 7.5 10 bolt or a 9 bolt. If it is a 3.27 I would bet it is from a 9 bolt rear, they are about 7.75" if I remember correctly. There were a rare few that had Dana 44's, but not many. If you get some numbers and a spline count off of the pinion, I can ID it for you.

Yes, 7.5 10 bolt sounds right...

Here are the numbers off the shaft of the pinion 0578030019 RE 3.27D

What other GM cars/trucks will these gears fit...??

Thanks for checking this on for me. I don't know what I would do without all the help I have recived from the people on this site!

That number looks like a 9 bolt to me. If you count the spline on the pinion I can tell you for sure. The 9 bolt only came in 3rd gen IROC's/Z-28's or T/A's / GTA's / Formulas. The 7.5 is a 27 spline pinion, I dont remember off hand how many spline the 9 bolt is.

I did count the splines and I think it was 27.... I just counted them in a hurry and the first count with out a marker I got 36, but I am sure I counted ones I already counted. The second time I used a marker and I am pretty sure I got 27. Like I said I was in a hurry so I will have to try it again when I get off work.
I haven't had the car for about 5 years now so I don't remember off hand what bolt it was.

3.27:1 gears would be for the 9 bolt. 3.23's would be for a 10 bolt.

Its a 27 spline, just counted them.

I am going to list them as gears for a 9 bolt 7.5 rear end... Starting at 30$
Thanks for the info.

Those gears will fit 7.625 or 7 5/8 equipped f-bodys from 81-02 81-88 monte carlos, buick regals, olds cutlass's, 81-02 s-10's blazers and trucks. I just swapped a set of 3:42's from a 01 jimmy to my monte and they worked perfect. But I also have an auburn carrier.I think the 2:73 up carriers are the same if I remember from when I bought the auburn correctly.
