Strange Rearend

Strange Rearend Am debating whether to get a Strange or Moser and based upon my needs think the Strange will be better for me (will only drag the car 4-5 times a year....only other times car will be driven is in summer on weekends...it's a project keeper car).
RWHP will approarch 525-550 after installation of ATI D-1SC at 8psi over a heads/cam motor presently making around 390 rwhp with A4 unlocked. So the stock rearend probably won't last if I put on a set of ET streets\Hoosiers when I drag the car.
Here's my question?
I would just as soon disconnect the traction control as I never used it since day one (never drive in the rain or snow).
If I can disconnect TC, then I won't have to go thru the process of removing my axles to send them to Strange so they can install the reluctor rings/backing plates.
I really don't want to go thru the hassle of pulling my axles and having it up on jacks for a month while I wait for Strange to build and ship my rearend.
Or are there any other workarounds or options? Is it a lot of work to disable/unistall TC? I have LSEdit.
Lastly, how come I have to do this with Strange, but not with Moser?

Strange uses the stock tone rings. Moser makes their own. I did the same thing only thing is I pulled the tone rings off the axles adn put them back in the car car. the dealer sells backing plates for ~67.00 each. Then you could sell the whole 10 bolt complete minus tone rings.......

What I have heard is that Moser sends you the rear partially assembled, axles are not installed and backing plates are missing;whereas Strange finishes the assembly, then fills it with fluid and dyno tests every rear end prior to shipping. One way around it is to buy new reluctor rings ($20.00 each) and new backing plates (some places will refund you a part of the cost when you return yours).
