Default Strange Pictures

I just finished the first 1000 miles on the new 12 bolt. I was lucky as I had zero shavings. I opened the rear to clean it out and was expecting some shavings, but I got none. Pics are in the sig.

Cool! I just got through the first 250 on mine, man that was tough. How much gear whine did you experience while breaking in? I'm getting some on decel in the 40-60mpg range. Just wondering when it'll let up.

ps. your pics link points to your webshots edit page...

I have a moser rearend but I had no gear whine during break in and I still do not. It just depends on how well the rearend was setup from the factory.

I had no shavings after my 1000 mile period, which was cool.

However, I pulled the cover off today and found some shavings, but it was not overboard. The contact pattern on the ring looked dead nuts, so Strange did set it up right.

I guess one could expect some shavings after the first hard racing day. The first 1000 miles I was chilling all the way. Now on my next fluid change out, I better not have metal in the soup!

If that plane was mine, I'd probably be on ferrari.com. It belongs to a vendor of mine. It's got a neat telemtry system that shows land speed. We peaked at 641 mph!!!!!!!
