Just curious if some of you guys/gals with aftermarket driveshafts have ever weighed them. I just got my Strange Severe duty Chrome moly driveshaft in, with forged tranny yoke and forged ends with 1350 u-joints. On my highly sophisticated bathroom scale (digital only measures whole lbs) the C/M set up weighed 19 lbs. My stock aluminum set up (yoke to u-joint) weighed 12 lbs. How much does the Denny's nitrous shaft weigh?

Mine isn't aftermarket, but a steel one. I got it after I destroyed my stock aluminum DS. If I remember, I weighed the aluminum DS and it was about 11 lbs. The steel one weighs 16 lbs. and is a smaller diameter than the aluminum one.

I didn't weigh my Denny shaft, but man, I swear it feels twice as heavy as the stock aluminum one... If I were to venture a guess, I'd say it is at least 20 pounds.

I have no idea who made the driveshaft that was in my car but it weighs 24lbs. Its a steel 3" with 1350 joints/TH400 yoke, I have no idea what its made of - cast iron sewer pipe I would guess The new 3.5" MW metal matrix (aluminum) shaft I have here weighs 14lbs.
