I would say that is a N2-no. J/K
Dont forget, they break on shifts sometimes also. You would realy be pushing its limits.

That reminds me of a friend BBC N2o car w/a 8.5 it HAD.
Dont know if it broke on the launch or shift. On the top end of the run it let loose. The cross shaft/pin was broke.
It let the spider fall out & that proceeded to lock the rear up. It ended up bouncing off the wall a couple of times w/ the rears locked up. Not to mention twisting the drive shaft & breaking the output shaft & tail housing. It was a mess.
It cost him big.

the stock rear end is that weak??!!!I'll have a set of PP heads installed soon so i might be in the range of 400-450 hp at the rear end. would the rear end wait till i get a moser rear end or it will give up before that ??

i really cann't wait cuz some of my friends with vipers zo6s porsches and other super car rented a formula 1 track just about 300 miles away from my town ... and they asked me to join them.. i have a complete sus. and brakes upgrade infront of me now but very woried about the rear end ... but i know with 400-450hp rearend hp,good sus. and brakes i'll cause them some headach...
should i go and tow my car in the way back home or it will be ok?? the car has 26000 miles and i raced some cars that used to be 2-4 cars ahead of me camaro when i was 100% stock and they could not believe that i'm not spraying it .what do y'all think??

the stock rear end should hold up fine with 600 hp, we had a car making about 610 to the wheels and it raced from a roll many times with no problems... but definately not from a launch at all.. if you take care of it will last

No personal experience on F-body's, but there main weakness is housing flex. I dont know how well it'll hold up but I plan to truss mine, detroit C locker, and forged axle it to find out. Dont know HP ratings, but there's a local red F body, with a 383 LT1, nitrous, slicks, spraying out of the hole. Run's low 7's if I remmember correctly. Did the same buildup with his rear end and hasnt had a problem yet.

just make sure you have the funds to swap it if necessary, because it would suck if you blow it and you don't have the cash to fix it. manual transmission guys have blown them with much less than 600 hp (the auto's tend to be easier on the rear). just a heads up, good luck!

If you have to ask, then no it isn't going to hold up...

I would totally NOT recommend that on the stock rear, and the fact that you have supposedly have 600 rwhp and dont know jack about the rear end makes me wonder... not tryin to flame or anything i just would'nt do it..

LOL!! yes guys 1/8 mile times. I'm very sorry, forgot in jacksonville thats the only local track we have aside from a 1/4 in gainesville. I can attest for seeing a low 7 second run first hand although I'm unsure if he sprayed it on that run or not (fairly sure he did).
