Default will taking the torque managment out blow my stock tranny?

I've been wanting to take the T.M out for awhile now but I don't want to brake anything "in the tranny". Does anyone know if this is a bad idea or should I go ahead and do it. By the way I'm currently trying to hit an 11 with stock internals (I want on that list). So far I get 12.22 almost every time. I definetly need to do something new and I think taking the T.M out would do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">

HI there,
It will not blow it up, or cause any immediate damage, however, it will severely shorten the life of your clutches, and the 2.4 band.
Especially if you up the horsepower, this could be an issue.
If you want to drag, there are shift improver kits from Transgo, which change the servos, springs, and a few other parts, to aid in faster reaction times of apply components within the trans.
Kevlar clutches are out there, along with transcoolers, higher output sprag clutches, and other goodies.
Do effective research, but remember, without overhauling your trans now, before it lets go, will assist in greater reliability later on.
Besttoyou, c4c5
