Default Di I have to shorten my D/S to run a 9"???

Just like the title says. Im buying a moser housing and axles and have the 3rd member. I know i will probably have to change the u jount but do i have to cut the shaft???

no but when i got a costome made one that was stronger i did lengthen it 1 1/5"

Thanks for the help. I know i need to change the u joint tho if i get a 1350 yoke?

i didn't have to do anything other than the 1350 U-joint pressed on.
