How much hp can it handle before you run the chance of breaking it?

Also if you were to put it in a 2100lb car how much more power would it be able to handle?

You wanna get the dana 44 out of a six speed car. The only difference is the casing, the six speed case has caps that press against the bearing caps making it stronger. The auto cover does not. You can buy a new cover that has the caps in it but whats the point. I have had 400 to the wheels on my stock auto w/o problems. I have seen 900+ out of the manual rear. I am assuming you are asking about a C4. C5's are all the same and awesome, throw whatever you want at it just buy the hardened stuff and the diff brace from dynotune. Andy
