Default QUICK: No limited slip additive? I thought...

I thought all LS1 F-Bodies had to use the limited slip additive? My car was a 2.73 w/ TCS and ABS and I always used it. Now I'm swapping in a 3.42 rear from a '99 M6 Trans Am w/ ABS only (no TCS) and my buddies are saying the posi is a gear driven unit in this one, and I have no need for the limited slip additive. I've already got the fluid and the additive, and I'm trying to confirm if I should add it or not, so any help is appreciated.

Additive for Auburn, no additive for Zexel Torsen. Though I
doubt the additive will "kill" the Torsen, these really prefer a
heavy weight nonsynthetic oil.

When I ordered the TA cover I ordered Redline 75W-90, which is a synthetic oil I believe. Regardless, how can you tell whether it's a Zexel-Torsen or an Auburn? Anything I can just look at and know?

Looking at the carrier.... an auburn looks like this.

A zexel carrier looks like this:

Hope this helps some

btw. can anyone tell if that zexel carrier looks like a series 3 or series 2?
I havnt really worked with gearing much, not sure how much the difference
in thickness is between the two.

I think the additive is just to reduce the chatter associated with
the clutchs, in clutch style LSDs. i dont think it would do much
in an gear driven lsd like the zexel.
