Oh nooo!! The steering shaft won't align! Please help!!!!!!
Ok here is the story. I swapped an LS1 on my 94 v6. The LS1 is bolted up to the crossmember and is now sitting perfect on the car. I got underneath to put the steering shaft on the part by the crossmember (where the other power steering fluid lines connect) and it wont line up properly. When I took the V6 out, it unbolted the steering shaft closest to the crossmember. And now that I have the 2000 crossmember on, the shaft wont align properly. Is there anything else I could try to make this shaft align? Please help me out. This really su(ks. Thanks in advance!

I had this same problem, I swapped an LS1 into my 94 Z28 also. I had the linkage from the LT1 and the LS1 car and niether would work. I guess the LS1s have a diffent rack that mounts the steering box closer to the frame rail. I just cut both linkages up and made one that would work. The only thing I can tell you is research the rack and see if they are different, swap racks or build your own?
