Should I replace the stock Steel Driveshaft ?
I'll soon be adding the MMS Stage 2 heads and I'm concerned about the steel driveshaft. Will it hold up with the added HP & tq? Should I go with a Mark Williams aluminum, chromoly or stick with the steel and just get a driveshaft safety loop?
I just want it to be safe.
Thanks,

Power wise you will probably be allright - what might worry me is driveshaft RPM. If you do any kind of high speed runs (140+), or if you switch to 3.73+ gears then I personally would rather have the better balanced driveshaft.
Either way it will not be a waste to get the better driveshaft, and I would - just for safety sake.

You know worse comes to worse Jerry, you could take your DR to Driveshafts Unlimited in Ft. Lauderdale and get it balanced and have heavy duty u-joints thrown in for around $100.

Chris, I already have the 3.73's. For finance reasons, I'm going to get the BMR driveshaft safety loop for now. And later when things are a little more stable, get the Mark Williams Cromoly shaft.
Thanks for your responce.
