Default Gutting CATS or OFF-Road pipe?

I have heard that an off-road pipe is worth a good 5 rwhp at most...
is there a way to gut the cats on the LS1, safely, and save the $200 or so dollars?

thanks for the help!

Yes, just un-bolt 'em and break out your long screwdriver and hammer. A curved scraper or similar tool is helpful for getting out that last little bit.

Disclaimer-This is for off-road use only!

Moving to engine. <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">
