Et drag or Hoosier
Et drag or Hoosier Looking at the 15x10.5 et drag and 15x10 hoosier. Anyone had any experience with the difference between the Micky Thompson and the hoosier. Which hooks better/more consistant. Anyone tried these on an 8" rim?

Re: Et drag or Hoosier I made the switch to Hoosier on my '67 Chevy II, and the car was definitely more consistent on the 60' times. They never varied more than .02, no matter what track I ran at. When I get a set of slicks for my SS it'll definitely be Hoosiers.

Re: Et drag or Hoosier I'll be trying out my 26*9.0 Hoosier E.T. drags on SAt hopefully and we'll let you know how they hook in comparison to my E.T. Streets (26*10.5) that I use to have. From what I hear, they are the softest tire out there (Hoosier) <img src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

Those were the stickest tire I have ever felt. Too bad they had to have 50-60 holes in them after driving on the entrance road to SCD.

Re: Et drag or Hoosier I have the ET DRAGS 28X10.5X15 at I'm cutting low 1.40's 60ft's...Both work well, Hoosier is a softer tire and heard even works better... <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

Re: Et drag or Hoosier I had MT 28 x 10.5 x 15 on my Mustang and they would not hold even after a killer burnout. I put 28 x 10 x 15 Hoosiers on and they stick like glue! Nothing else changed except the tires. My Mustang weighs 2423 with me in it. The MT may be alright on a heavy car but this is the ultimate test with my Mustang. They seem to be lasting good too.

Re: Et drag or Hoosier Thanks guys, this is the stuff I needed to hear. I know my traction is so sparatic with my current tires 15x9x28. Ive never actually hooked a hard launch. Spinning to high 1.5x. One dead hook pulled both tires and was a 1.55. Hopefully switching to the hoosiers and the advantave of having more footprint will solve this. Thanks again guys. Plus I got some other tricks brewing..hehehhe

Re: Et drag or Hoosier Tim95 you have Hals on the car too? If not I sugggest getting them, the fronts made my car much more consistent.

Re: Et drag or Hoosier JOhn, got em front and rear. I'm not extremely unhappy with the car but would like to hook harder. Maybe my car is just too heavy and my clutch hits HARD for the 15x9s
