Do Moser's use gaskets?

Getting ready to change my rear diff. fluid and was wondering besides the 3 qts of 75w 90 fluid and gm additive, do I need to buy a gasket or can i simply use something like Permatex sealer? TIA. Also, I will have to drop at least one side of the panhard bar to make room to take the diff. cover off right?

Anyone?

Yep, it's a standard 12 bolt gasket. I use gasket sealer on both sides of the gasket and do not get leaks. I have not had to drop the PHB to change fluid or gaskets before. I also have the TA cover.

Thanks for replying guys, and that's exactly why I asked. I've heard some people say to use a gasket, some say use gasket and sealer, then others say use only the RTV sealer. I suppose all will work. I think I'll use the sealer only, but figure once I apply it to the cover, I should let it dry to form a gasket, and once dry bolt it back up. Is this right?

no you dont want to let it dry

i would put a bead on the cover (dont forget to go around the bolts too) and let it sit for like 15 minutes just to set some. then install it

if you let it dry fully it wont seal
