3.42 to 4.10 swap in a vette -- who knows something ?

3.42 to 4.10 swap in a vette -- who knows something ? Car = 2000 Corvette, Current Gear = 3.42, Trans = 6 Speed
I found a shop that will direct swap 4.10's in my 3.42 carrier for $850 but he did not recall the gear manufacturer (he thinks they come from Italy).
I did not know this could be done so easily with the same carrier (?!).....Is it the best way to go ?
He did not know the manufaturer so can you guys help me out with who to avoid, who to get.....tips, things to ask for & about.
I do not care about noise/whine just quality.
I requested the hardened pass side output shaft evidently that is the one that snaps on the vettes....of course that was extra !
I appreciate any and all input fellas.....I do not want to do this twice.
