4.11's:) Yessir, finally broke in, breaking traction in 2nd and have to short shift to 3rd went driving hard...its great...just be careful with them |
I don't know much about gearing, I am actually looking into re-gearing the 10-bolt in my 00' WS6. I was going to go w/ 4.11's but I was afraid that I would run out of rpm's at the top of 4th and end up having to shift into 5th by the end of the quarter (if I build more power, which I plan to). My car is mostly stock, so I estimate I would trap in the ~101 range. What does 4th top out w/ 4.11's??? ~110 mph??? |
i don;t know...ill look tmrw, i plan n having 440 to the wheels in 2 weeks...but im keeping the gears |
Went to the track and I finished the 1/4 without shifting into 5th with 4.10's. |
4th w/ 4.10's ends around 112 mph at 6100 rpm. |

I have heard of durability/reliability issues w/ the 4.11's being put in the stock 10-bolt in place of the 3.42's. Don't know if it is true or not. Would upgraded housing covers and supports on the diff. make any difference at all w/ this swap?
