wierd noise from my 9 inch !!!

Default wierd noise from my 9 inch !!!

well to start off i have a ford 9 inch ffrom strage and moser... i have never heard a rear end wine sooooo damn load!!!!!! i have a detroit locker.... the noise is a wierd 2 second scream ,like i steped on a cats toe and it screamed sound, that happens when i acelerate in low rpm and decellerate in low rpm

also when i push the clutch down and and resume to put it into gear (THUMP) OHH MY GOSHHHHHH this kills me ........then i start to go press the gas and let of and there a weird clunking back and forth ...... i have putttt soooooooo much money into this dang car and i cant can not seem to get it to run semi nice!!!!!!!!!!!!grrr please help pleaseeee!!

I have no idea about the screech thing but the thump & clunk is probably the Spohn TA (I assume chassis mount) and the locker & that's normal stuff, you'll get used to it.

My 4.11's howled like crazy for the first 1000 miles or so. I think it's quitened down alot and I got used to it too. Like said above the clunking is normal with a locker.

A friend has a 9" moser/Strange combo from Billingsley, and it turns out that they put Richmond 4.10's in it instead of strange pro-street gears. It howls like a banshee. And the clunking is the locker, my friend also has that same condition too, but with rod end LCA's instead.

The 9" is not for the weak of heart.

Richmonds are good gears just tend to be on the noiser side.
