another gear selection q's
 

gas mileage not being a factor whats the shortest gears for a full bolt on car with 10 bolt you'd run? car dosent really see the track too much more of an occaisonal night rider to wake the neighborhood up

4:30's really wake up an f Body, especially if you have an aggressive camshaft. If you are running a 28" tall tire, then I would go with 4:56's. Bob

m6 ,sorry been having a bad last couple of days (totaled my other car) ive just now been able to get online

dont touch a 10 bolt if you have a 6 speed. when you say "shortest" i'm assuming you mean a larger gear (numerically), because i cant imagine you wanting higher than a 3.42 ratio w/ the t56. some people say "taller" or "steeper" and describe the same thing i'm assuming you want.

4.10's are a fun choice with our 6 speed trannies, as long as they are NOT in a 10 bolt, and you have some decent tires. i have 4.11's in my moser 12 bolt, run 315 nitto drags, spec 3 clutch and have a few suspension parts to make it leave a little harder. i LOVE these gears, i can run sticky tires and break 'em loose if i want to, and i can make 'em hook, and roll out when i need to ;)

so u think itd probably be a waste of money on gears for the 10 bolt? like i said i just wrecked my other car beyond beleif but now i dont even have the $ for them now so i guess it was a sighn to just wait on the gears
