can we use synthetic tranny fluid in our 6 speeds? or
does it swell the sychro's and makes it harder shifting, i have heard pro's and con's. what is the right answer? thanx <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0">

After I put in Mobil 1 ATF in my 98 Formula it started grinding the 1-2 shift at high rpms when the fluid was cold (which meant if my car sat even a half hour between runs at the track, it grinded)

I think that from what I've read on the boards that synthetic is too slick for our M6s. The only synthetic people seem to like is Honda ATF.

Synthetic is fine for our M6's, just as long as its Mobil 1, or REDLINE's D4ATF. You shouldnt use REDLINE's M6 tranny fluid, because that is too slick.
