4.10 and A4
Does anybody out have experiance with 4.10 in an A4? If so what type of improvment should I see (1/4 mile). I know most A4 guys do the 3.73 but long story broke rear end and getting one for geat deal with 4.10.

From what I have read I believe that if you were running at the track a full 1/4 then you would have to actually shift into 4th (overdrive) with 4:10's due to the gearing in the auto transmission unless you were rapping extremely high RPM (somebody please correct me if I'm wrong)

i have 373s and with the stock rims/tires i turn like 5800 in 3rd at 105 mph, which is about what i'll trap this year. so 410s would definitely be giving me problems later on down the road. if you ran 410s you'd need 28" tires or larger to avoid using OD in the 1/4...and also ***** of steel to wrap 7k to make it through the traps without shifting.

i am back to share the good news! the car does run 12's with 4.10 i lost .5 second (still on regular street tires). it does want to go into overdrive but i do know the mph is around 111 at the end of the quarter.

I also installed a 4.10 with headers, tune, lid, cut-out I ran 12.6 spinning 1st and 2nd. It was between 6,000-6,500 in the traps but its not like your hitting the rev limiter at the 1,000 ft marker and having to pedal it the rest of the quarter or anything.
