Default Auburn or Torsen

How do I know what differential that I have? Is there a number on the door that identifies this? It has whatever came stock. Thanks

I think G80 is the Torsen code. I could definitely be wrong, though. I also think that Auburns were dropped in favor of the Torsen unit in '00.

they switched in 99(98 is only LS1 year to have auburn standard) to the Torsen unit. however on an SS there was an auburn option after 98. the easiest way to tell is to jack up the rear and spin one of the rear tires. if they spin opposite of one another, its Torsen, if they spin the same, Auburn

I had an '01 Z that came with an Auburn.

My '00 Z has a torsen.

I don't know the door code, but 10 bolts hold on the cover, you can take it off and see for sure what it is.
