Lockup characteristics of PYE 4000 Is it true that this converter only locks up under a targeted torque load in non-overdrive gears? When my switch is turned on, it only locks up fourth, at least that is the only gear I can see and hear a significant drop in RPM, 400-500. |
Re: Lockup characteristics of PYE 4000 Below the targeted torque level, the converter behaves like any other converter with regard to lock-up. |
Re: Lockup characteristics of PYE 4000 So it will lock itself automatically, with or without the switch, as long as targeted torque is reached? |
Re: Lockup characteristics of PYE 4000 yes |
Re: Lockup characteristics of PYE 4000 Make sure your manual switch is setup properly. The 4L70 will lock in fourth automatically. If you are not getting lockup in 3rd you have a problem with your switch. Check the power lead to the switch and make sure you use 3rd gear lockup at the track only. Cheers, Chris |
Re: Lockup characteristics of PYE 4000 Thanks Chris for the response. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> I can already tell my probation period has begun in here. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> |
