Whats the best gear to go with for 1/4 mile racing anf street driven? thanks to any and all that can help.

if it is all track go with 3.73's or 4.10's, if it is daily driver i think 3.42's or maybe 3.73's would be ok. im about to do 3.42's so i will be able to tell you soon. as for telling, what mph do you run at like 70-80?

Doesn't remember? Probably didn't then. To get the speedo correct he would've had to program it for new gears too. Get someone on the highway next to you at 70 MPH on their speedo, write down your RPMs, then check it against a calculator like www.f-body.org/gears/

I've got a set of 3:42's in my auto car. It is ok while just driving around, when you start pushing it to get around someone it will grab second and I hate that so I am going to step up to 3:73's and see if that will solve it. If not I have a st of 4:10's in the garage out of my monte. Right now with the 3:42's and mods it gets about 19-20 on the highway.
