Default Before I spend the money - please advise?

I'm going to buy a 10-bolt from an 01 TA that was an m6 - it's a series 3 (3:42's) no TCS. I can drop my rear end (99 z28, auto 2 series channels) and it will bolt in, right? I can use my own brakes? Can I use my own driveshaft?

Thanks!

Grant

Yes as long as you got 3/channel abs everything will work. I don't know what 2 series channels are

I have the stock brake system of a 99 z28, I know it's ABS, not sure of the channel or whatever. I just know that I have a 2 series rear end. I've found a pretty decent deal on a 10-bolt with 3:42's that I'd like to put in my car. It just doesn't come with the braking system.

Did your car come with traction control? If it did then you have 4/channel abs and bolting up the 3/channel rear you will lose your abs breaking.

No traction control 3/channel abs.

Other than the abs stuff the rears are totally interchangeable.

No. Mine came with a series 2 - no tcs and 2:73's. i'm trying to swap in a series 3 with no tcs & 3:42's in it. Going to use my brakes that originally came on my car.

From what I understand, it should be a pretty straight up swap.

3 channel--abs only. 4 channel--traction control and abs. should be straight bolt up nothing to get in your way except tuning for speedometer, shift points.
